Appointment of Finance Director

Business Direct, the provider of the convenient outdoor business-to-business ParcelXchange estate, announces the appointment of Brendan Cull to the Board as Finance Director with immediate effect.

Brendan Cull has extensive financial and general management experience in a number of business areas including retailing, logistics and food manufacturing. From 1999 to 2004 he was the UK Logistics Manager of Siemens where he had a significant impact in reducing costs, increasing efficiency and improving service quality. Prior to this he was the Assistant Financial Director of Waitrose, the Food retailing division of the John Lewis Partnership from 1996 to 1998.

Brendan started his career as a Graduate Finance Trainee at Lyons Maid, an ice cream manufacturer. This was followed by management accountant roles at Unicom Inc, a news information provider, and Burroughs Machines, a computer hardware and software manufacturer.

In 1986 Brendan joined Hertz Europe as a Business Planning Analyst where he was promoted to European Pricing Manager prior to leaving in 1989. This was followed by four years with Unipart plc from 1989 to 1994 where he was promoted to the role of Corporate Business Development Manager. In 1994 he returned to the computer industry, joining HC Ltd and Internet Group Ltd.
